Please, please help me!!!!!
I am currently using Adaptec DirectCD v2.5d.
The problem is when I format a CD/RW disc in DirectCD quick format it formats the disc for about 5 minutes then tells me that within a minute the disc can be used to copy files while being formatted in the background. The problem is that there should be a box comes up to tell me the progress of the formatting while I want to copy files. This box does not appear and when I try to drop a file into the disc it comes up as saying it is write protected. I check the properties of the disc and it tells me that there is no free space even though the disc was empty and new in the beginning of the formatting.
I have un-installed it all a few times but I still cannot get it to work.
Can someone please help me before I snap the writer in half! Ha Ha!
Thankyou.

Hi:

Depending on which page you go to on www.roxio.com, you'll be told that you need either v4 or v5 of DirectCD for Windows, therefore I think v2.5d definitely will not work.

Having said that, there is a floppy107.exe upgrade file at http://www.roxio.com/en/support/archive/archiveupdateswin.html
which adds support for more drives to v2.5d. I don't know if that includes the 8200e.

Sorry, that's all I've got.
