Hi,

Actually installing oracle 9i on HP-UX 11.11, the documentation lists required patches on 11.00... Should these patches be manually installed on HP-UX 11.11 or are they already integrated in 11.11 version?
(for example is PHCO_23792 patch on HP-UX 11.11?)

Thanks
Florent

No. Oracle requires the December 2002 Quality patch bundle and the following patches for 11.11 for all databases.

HP-UX 11.11 ===========

6. C++ runtime libs Current Revision of Patch: PHSS_26946 - s700_800 11.11 HP aC++ -AA runtime libraries (aCC A.03.37) Patch in latest Support Plus Patch Bundle? Yes, as PHSS_22898.

5. asyncio driver patch - slow database startup with large SGAs Current Revision of Patch: PHKL_25506 - s700_800 11.11 asyncio driver patch Patch in latest Support Plus Patch Bundle? Yes, as PHKL_25506.

4. ONC/NFS General Release/Performance Patch Current Revision of Patch: PHNE_26388 - s700_800 11.11 ONC/NFS General Release/Performance Patch Patch in latest Support Plus Patch Bundle? Yes, as PHNE_26388.

3. ld and linker tools cumulative patch Current Revision of Patch: PHSS_26560 - s700_800 11.11 ld(1) and linker tools cumulative patch Patch in latest Support Plus Patch Bundle? No.

2. libc cumulative patch Current Revision of Patch: PHCO_27740 :s700_800 11.11 libc cumulative patch Patch in latest Support Plus Patch Bundle? Yes, as PHCO_25452.

1. libc cumulative header file patch Current Revision of Patch: PHCO_24402 :s700_800 11.11 libc cumulative header file patch Patch in latest Support Plus Patch Bundle? Yes, as PHCO_24402.

Check that patch list on itrc for new ones.

Also you need to install java 1.2 or 1.3 if you did not choose to do so as part of the base install. Java 1.4 won't work, not certified.

Check for java patches here and install them all.

Hi Florent,

Oracle recommended to install the following patches sometime back. There might be some patches superceded. So, you may want to check them against each. I would suggest, you download all of them and make it a bundle. The ones that got installed during the OS build will be ignored anyway.

PHCO_24402 1.0 libc cumulative header file patch
PHCO_24777 1.0 mountall cumulative patch.
PHCO_26124 1.0 libc cumulative patch
PHCO_26242 1.0 mount(2) cumulative patch
PHCO_26331 1.0 mountall cumulative patch.
PHCO_26332 1.0 umountall(1M) cumulative patch
PHCO_26333 1.0 fsclean(1M) cumulative patch
PHCO_26334 1.0 quotaon(1M) quotaoff(1M) cumulative patch
PHCO_27120 1.0 umount(1M) cumulative patch
PHCO_27910 1.0 libc cumulative patch
PHKL_26239 1.0 getmount_entry; rename; creat; mount/umount
PHNE_25625 1.0 ONC/NFS General Release/Performance Patch
PHNE_26388 1.0 ONC/NFS General Release/Performance Patch
PHSS_26263 1.0 ld(1) and linker tools cumulative patch
