Anybody got any experience with TopTools Device Manager 5.5 in combination with a Cisco PIX firewall? What is the best way to make sure TT can see units on both sides of the firewall?

Hello Bjoernar,
Toptools Device Manager was not designed to operate through a firewall. A network management tool would be required for that functionality, something like OpenView Network Node Manager.

Hi,
I'd set up a TTServer in DMZ private and only send traps from all firewall-servers there.
You need to open snmp ports in one-way. With this you can see hardwarefaults as the agents send traps but you can not manage the servers.
Be sure to properly configure and secure snmp and install latest patches regarding DoS attacks if using MS OS.
If you'd like to manage the servers in any way you can not harden them as fas as you could without managing!
Regards, Oliver
