It depends, the tape itself probably is, but is the drive and the system too? Too less info here.

Thanks for the response. This is for an ignite of an rp3440. on an LTO-3 tape drive with an LTO3-tape.

Hello, Your question had me worried for a bit. To prove the point I have just tried this again on our test rp3440 and the ignite tape boots from the external HP LTO-3 drive . regards Mike
