Hi

System is reporting boot error code 0011.
I understand this means i need to replace
CMOS battery.
I see it has a latch over it and i am having a hard time figuring out how to move it to unlock the battery.

Any hints? :)

Thanks !

hi,

the latch over it doesnt really move.

its just sprung steel and easily breaks off, so be careful.

just gently tease the battery out with a small screwdriver od similar

replacement will just slide back in under the contact strip.

hi again,

one more thing it may be easier to just remove the whole system board to replace it. then you will see the little cut out for a small screwdriver type tool.

it just slides out the top/side in one whole lump complete with cpu's/mem
