Hi,
After I launched ovlauncher, the java window came up. When I double click on Network->IP network, the small startup window poped up. Then it stop at 40% when the status is "Creating submap". I've opened my default map. What is wrong?
Thanks a lot
regards

No error messages? You do have to have ovw running on the default map to open a java session. When I forget to do this, it usually fails at around 10% and I get an error message. Sometimes, when I am on a slow dialup, the load will stall for long periods at around 40%. If I am patient, the map will eventually load. I've not yet seen the Java GUI fail without issuing an error message.
Hi Frank,
In the launcher menu, when I click Networks->IP network, it hangs at 40 %. But when I click on NNM->Network Presenter, the map is able to pop up. When I look at the ARF file, here is the different between both:
40% is around where it's processing registration information.
I'm not certain, but I think the operation that's successful is opening the map associated with ITO (Internet+IP). The one that isn't working is the old NNM map (default).
Just for fun, run ovw & to open up the default NNM map on the server and then retry your launcher operation.
I had a problem in the java gui when trying to launch jovw or ovlauncher that the java gui would hang at 10% or 40%. I found the solution to the problem is that on my system, I needed to make sure that IE 5.0 had the java console enabled in the advanced tab under internet options.
