Graeme, what is the make/model of your computer? Once we have this information, we can review the specs of your computer and let you know if it is possible.
If you look at the section titled 'Optical Drivers' in the User's Guide, it says that only 'Selected Models' have Blu-ray capability.
I suggest that you contact HP Customer Support to ask them about a Blu-ray drive for your computer. I don't want to tell you something that is incorrect.
