To hard reset an iPAQ 111 (you won't find A or B in the manual, if you can find the manual):
A. While on
- press Win + OK + rec together
- while doing that, press reset button
and hold for 3-4 seconds
- release reset
- release buttons
The screen shows "CLEAN RESET" when
this works. It may take a while to
get it all right.
B. Or, if no go,
- leave battery out for 12 hours (?)
C. There is supposed to be a setup assistant
on the CD but I couldn't find that, and even
then, it needs the device to already be
working (doh!)

I found that pressing the wheel while doing a reset gets you to the bootloader. But I haven't found the hard reset combination yet. |

To hard reset an iPAQ 114, you must : - press and hold the 3 buttons Windows, OK and REC - press the reset button for about 3 seconds and release it - release the 3 buttons
The device will boot up and show a green message "CLEAN BOOT" down on the screen.
This method has been successfully tested. |
