just bought a presario c505TU which comes with the dos. I installed the Microsoft Windows XP professional and after that tried to install the sound driver file Conexant Audio Driver for Microsoft Windows XP (32-bit) sp35270.exe but I am getting the error "Media Device is not found". Can anybody please help me, how to install audio driver on my presario c505TU laptop.

I'm guessing this is the same as all the other in the C500 series (I didn't realize they still sold DOS).

Hi Anurag,

Download and install following driver:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe

As soon as you open the web site a small window will pop up with RUN, SAVE and CANCEL options. Please select the SAVE option and save the file on the desktop. then install it.

Restart the notebook and install the audio drivers.
